Service Specific Policies
Day Care: Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance. Passes can be shared among dogs in same household. Passes have no expiration date. Due to additional staffing requirements, an additional charge will apply to drop offs and pickups outside of normal business hours. Day care payments are due upon checkout. Day care packages must be fully paid for in advance. There are no refunds for unused portions of day care packages.
Extended Care: All extended care visits require a 50% deposit of the Estimated Total (before tax) amount listed above to hold the reservation. The remaining balance is due in FULL at the time of Pick Up. Rates are based on 24 hours. If picking up your dog(s) after the 24 hours from drop off, Owners will be charged $10 for the 1st hour, $29 next 4 hours and $39 for the full day until business close. Cancellations must be made 3 days prior to your dog’s reservation in order to receive a full deposit refund.
General Policies
Kama‘aina K9 Adventures reserves the right to change pricing and policies without prior notice. Kama‘aina K9 Adventures also reserves the right to refuse service.
Vaccinations: All dogs entering a play yard, for any service, must provide proof of the following annual prior to entry:
- DHPP vaccine
- Bordetella vaccine
- General fecal test
While Kama‘aina K9 Adventures will assist with vaccination reminders to the best of our ability, owners are fully responsible for providing proof of follow-up vaccinations and fecal exams. Failure to provide vaccination records prior to service could result in the cancellation of reservations.
Temperament Evaluation: All dogs entering our play yards must undergo a one-time temperament evaluation before their first day of service. This evaluation is given by a senior member of our staff and allows us to observe the dog’s personality under various conditions.
Aggressive Behavior: Kama‘aina K9 Adventures reserves the right to refuse any current or future service to any dog who shows repeated, unprovoked, aggressive behavior to any other dog or person, as deemed necessary by management. In the event that service is refused, no refunds will be given.
Communicable Conditions: To maintain the safety of our guests, all dogs entering our play yards, for any service, are expected to be in good health and free of any communicable diseases, including but not limited to Bordetella, giardia and parasites. Kama‘aina K9 Adventures reserves the right to refuse service should a communicable condition be suspected.
Fleas & Ticks: To maintain the safety of our guests, all dogs entering our play yards, for any service, are combed for fleas and ticks each time before they enter a play yard. Owners whose dogs are found to have fleas or ticks will be contacted and will have the option of picking their dog up or having their dog treated with a flea and tick treatment at a cost of $25.
Food and Medication: Kama‘aina K9 Adventures is able to feed owner-provided food or use a house dry food at the owner’s expense of $2.50 per cup and any administration of medications is $3 per day. Owner-provided food must come with clear instructions.
Forms: All necessary forms must be signed by a dog’s owner prior to the first day of service.
