What should I know about an outdoor day care?
An outdoor day care can be a great thing for dogs. Even the most energetic of dogs can find a release playing in one of the most beautiful natural settings in the world. However, an outdoor day care is not for every dog or every owner. It is not uncommon for those dogs not used to a high level of outdoor activity to develop sore paws. This can be mitigated/cured with rest and a calming balm for a few days. While play groups are supervised and dogs have access to fresh water throughout the day, dogs can remain thirsty even after pickup. Your dog will also get dirty, particularly if it rains. We will bathe your dog if they are unusually dirty and all dogs receive a wipe down prior to pick up. Lastly, like any other day care, the occasional injury or altercation with another dog will occur.

As dogs spend a significant amount of time running and playing in our outdoor play yards, it is not uncommon for even the most energetic and strongest dogs to be tired, particularly after an extended day at our facility. Calm rest as needed is often the best remedy.
